ワールドカップの年にアディダスの中でもクラシカルな一足「サンバ」が復刻される。今回の2カラー展開では、これまでのデザインと同様、アッパーにはレザーとスウェードを採用。ガムソールの組み合わせがレトロな雰囲気を演出している。その見た目から、さまざまなスタイリングの足元を飾り、今もなお人気を獲得し続けているモデルの一つだ。

4年に1度の大会1950年、FIFAワールドカップの開かれる年に発売されたサンバ。開催国がブラジルであったこともあり、代表的なブラジル音楽「サンバ」からモデル名をつけたと言われている。フルレングスレザーで覆われたアッパーは足の保護性を高め、グリップ力に長けたソールはフットサル用のシューズとして開発されたことを物語っているアディダス屈指のクラシックモデルだ。
